Sheila Kerr Jewellery is delighted to be awarded runner up in the Association of Scottish Businesswomen Awards:

Most Enterprising Business 2013

Nominated as Ayrshire Finalist in this category and the results were announced at a fabulous Gala Dinner on Friday 30 August, 2013 at Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeen.

Various criteria were judged including uniqueness of business idea/product, use of social media, customer care/engagement and opportunity for growth.

Another great achievement for Sheila Kerr Jewellery and thanks goes to The Ayrshire Association of Businesswomen for nominating us!

International order to Italy

Through the medium of social media and more specifically Facebook, I received a commission to create a bride's tiara.  The bride to be had befriended me on Facebook and came from Salerno in Italy.  She contacted me via Facebook Chat and (in Italian) explained that she wished to order a bespoke headpiece for her wedding day. She chose the 'Ava' headpiece with a customised twist of amber coloured Swarovski Elements (c) crystals.

Using Google translate I was able to communicate in Italian too!  The headpiece was created and finally posted off in plenty of time.

Here I am in my studio with a variety of jewellery on display.  This is just a sample of what I make - a commissioned design will be unique to you - whether a bridal tiara or a sterling silver pendant.

Robert Burns Collection in Sterling Silver - Photoshoot

Here is a sneak peek of our photoshoot at the Irvine Burns Club, Ayrshire, Scotland.

I created 2 sterling silver pendants as part of my Robert Burns inspired collection.

Hannah wears the 'Ae Fond Kiss' sterling silver pendant - inspired by a much loved Burns poem and most recorded song in the world.

She also wears the 'Brigitte' Headpiece which is a handbeaded side tiara with pearls and crystals.

The background shows a stained glass window with the works of Robert Burns in his own handwriting and also a small portrait.

This pendant is part of a collection which is on sale at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, Alloway, Ayr, Scotland

Time to start blogging!

Just realised that I've not been here since September! That was when I began my journey with Entrepreneurial Spark - and what a journey it has been (and still is).

I now have a collection selling through The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum namely the 'Ae Fond Kiss' pendant and the 'My Love is ...

I also have the 'Ailsa' Collection selling through the Gift Shop at Turnberry Hotel. This comprises a pendant and earrings with gent's cuff links coming soon!
